I’m wrapping up some of my last commission figures for the season. Here are 3 popular ones that has magnetic articulation for the arms and head, except Toyman just has magnetic arms because the head is already on a neck peg.

A lot of good things are happening with me at this time that has been keeping me very busy. Back at work with new position in the company and I’m looking to buy a new house. So far I’m set up with a good outlook for the year. Unfortunately real life gets in the way of my hobby. As much as I enjoy making and painting JLU figures for people, this part of the collection building (custom commissions) will have to be paused until after summer or so. the store will be up for a few more weeks before I have to start traveling out of town for work. So get what you can before the store closes. If all goes well, I will open back up and will have an actual workshop to produce even more JLU goodness that is already in the planning stage. Thanks to everyone that has enjoyed and supported me at what I do.

With all the work in 2011 of bringing in some of the Legion villains in the hands of the custom collectors and customizers, 2012 will probably really shine. To join in with the ranks of the JLU Legion and other villains that Greatwhite and myself has made available like the Thinker, the new cast of Monocle and Major Disaster, Hellhound and Trickster… a few more to the roster will be added this year that I know of from myself and looking forward to present another talented customizer adding a couple new original sculpts for the store so others can enjoy them in their custom collection that will be coming soon. Here is one to come as a tease that I just created to get the molding treatment….. enjoy and Happy New Year to everyone!

I finally got my computer back from the shop. now I’m gearing up by taking photos of my current custom work and castings that I will be updating soon to the store. I just created another character to add to our figure collecting roster. The Monocle has now been officially made and duplicated. I couldn’t wait to start this custom and by the time it was finished, my computer went on the fritz. so here is my WIP picture just to show I practice what I preach when it come to customizing.

the Monocle and a revision of the Thinker is now posted. a couple more are done but that will have to wait for another couple weeks. but I do have plans to make a couple more.

So, who’s up for something else that’s show accurate? Well, Casimir and I have been working to get more stuff out there and here is the next one up our sleeve. Firefly, is one that we both thought that Mattel wasn’t getting correct with the prototypes that we have seen and we both thought we could make it better with more show accurate detail.

Even though I started this one, Casimir deserves most all of the credit for the finish and lets face it, he has the talent to turn what I had planned which was mediocre to something that’s awesome.  Only thing Mattel got right with the prototype was the backpack. So I managed to replicate the pack from scratch along with the wings(yes, the wings are resin casted too), gave the head a better neck and put the harness onto the torso. All was sent to Casimir and he finished it up with some great looking detail.

Here is a picture of the casting parts that has been made. I’m still working to perfect one of the molds to try and make the cleanup a little less painful. Once Casimir and myself get our own copies first, then everyone else can enjoy a copy too.
